Apprenticeships combine a practical job with studying, and so you can earn a wage alongside gaining a qualification. You will be learning and progressing skills inside the workplace, whilst studying (usually one day a week) at a college. If you are doing A Levels or other Level 3 qualifications, like BTECs/OCRs, you might be considering an apprenticeship or higher education (university) when you finish. An apprenticeship can be a good route if you want to get training for a specific job sector and be earning at the same time. There are all sorts of opportunities for fantastic apprenticeships developing all the time.
Finding an apprenticeship is a bit like finding a job, so knowing where to look is really important.
